How they describe themselves: Founded by an ex-regulator and compliance officer at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and a fintech startup, Themis aims to change the status quo of compliance tools. Financial institutions have been hit with $10.4 billion in global fines and penalties, and banks in the United States are the most fined (over $9 billion) in 2020. We are here to provide a compliance product that is easy, reliable, and collaborative for banks and fintechs of all sizes.

How they describe their product/innovation: Our product is a software solution for Governance, Risk and Compliance. With the rapidly changing and complex regulatory frameworks, compliance is getting harder and harder for banks and fintechs. Our product is a one-stop shop for compliance, which helps them manage and report all kinds of compliance matters. Not only users can manage internal compliance workflows, but it is also collaboration tech with external companies (think Airtable), specifically designed for risk and compliance requirements to accelerate partnerships.
