How they describe themselves: Microblink is an R&D company focused on developing proprietary real-time text recognition (OCR) for mobile devices. Microblink develops SDKs designed to improve UX in apps by turning mobile device camera into a data catcher. The SDKs replace manual data input by scanning ID documents, bills, payment slips, scratchcards, TOP-UPs, SIM cards, VINs, etc. All solutions work offline, are simple to integrate into any app, and customizable to the client’s needs. The technology is based on the most advanced neural networks and machine learning to provide fast and accurate text recognition. Microblink is famous for developing the Photomath app, a real-time math solver that has 70M+ downloads and is the first in the world to read handwriting.

How they describe their product/innovation: BlinkReceipt is a real-time retail receipt scanner for mobile apps. The SDK provides extraction of all purchase data (meaning each item bought) from retail receipts in real time. The solution runs locally on a device, has high accuracy, scales infinitely, and is the most cost-effective way to collect consumer purchase data. BlinkReceipt can be used for purchase validation, loyalty and reward programs, consumer panels/market research, and personal finance/lifestyle management, amongst other things. It currently supports receipt scanning for all top US retailers, and is expanding to the international market as well.
