The Best of Show votes for FinovateFall 2015 have been cast and counted! After two days and 70 live demos of the latest in fintech innovation, our attendees made their opinions known as to which companies earned “Best of Show” (see footnotes for voting methodology).

This year at FinovateFall, it was the debuting companies that made some of the biggest impressions on our record-setting Finovate audience. Of the eight companies to take home “Best of Show” honors, five of them were making their very first appearance on the Finovate stage.

Looking Back at the 28 Best of Show Winners of 2014

There’s no doubt 2014 has been a big year for fintech. The amount of venture capital funding, along with a handful of successful IPOs, have brought a spotlight to a once-dark space.

It has been a banner year at Finovate, as well. Over the course of our four conferences in 2014, we’ve seen:

What they demoed: The BANKTRON e-channels management platform that provides front-end users elegant, safe, and secure financial products and services.

  • Released a mobile banking app for Medicinos Bankas.

What they’ve been up to:
    • mBank, along with Accenture, picked up a Best of Show award at FinovateFall 2013
    • mBank announced a new transactional service, new logo, premium offer for affluent customers.
    • Efigence-powered Alior Currency Exchange awarded Innovation of the year 2012 title
    • Efigence-powered Alior Bank won the prestigious Golden Bank 2012 title

  • Cut its transaction fee across Europe

FinovateEurope 2013 Best of Show Winners

Our third FinovateEurope wrapped up a few hours ago. At the end of each of the two jam-packed days, the London audience voted for their favorite three demos. The top eight overall were named Best of Show (see notes).

The winners (in alphabetic order):

  • Credit-Agricole for its app store where it is wooing outside developers
  • ETRONIKA for its BANKTRON e-channel management platform
  • mBank with Efigence for their Facebook & social platform 
  • Meniga for its PFM platform, including “buy” vs “not buy” feature

  • Pockets United for its group purchasing mobile solution
  • SumUp for its mobile point-of-sale system
  • Virtual Piggy for its kids’ payment system with parental controls

Our fifth annual FinovateFall in NYC concluded an hour ago. After seeing 64 demos over two packed days, the audience voted for their three favorites each day. The top eight overall were named Best of Show (see notes).
