Quantum Metric Launches Atlas to Help Enterprises Turn Digital Opportunities into Solutions

Quantum Metric Launches Atlas to Help Enterprises Turn Digital Opportunities into Solutions
  • Continuous product design platform company Quantum Metric launched its Atlas solution this week.
  • Atlas provides enterprises with a library of pre-built industry guides to help them turn digital opportunities into new products and solutions for customers.
  • Quantum Metric won Best of Show in its Finovate debut at FinovateEurope n 2021.

Quantum Metric, the continuous product design platform company that won Best of Show in its Finovate debut in 2021, unveiled its latest solution this week. The Colorado Springs, Colorado-based firm announced the launch of Atlas, a structured and accelerated solution to help organizations respond to “critical business questions” with “outcome-driven insights.” Atlas provides companies with a comprehensive library of pre-built industry guides that give businesses a tailored set of dashboards, metrics, anomaly detection, and alerts, providing them with a stepwise approach to improving digital use cases.

“Organizations consistently struggle to know if their teams are asking the right business questions and working hard to drive their experience forward to the benefit of both their business and their customer,” Quantum Metric CEO Mario Ciabarra said. “With Atlas, we are empowering every member of digital teams to focus on what matters most, winning the hearts of their customers.” Ciabarra called the launch “a defining day” for the company.

Quantum Metric helps enterprises negotiate the distance between recognizing new digital opportunities and turning those opportunities into revenue-generating, customer-engaging products and services. The company estimates that the average enterprise “leaves up to $220 million on the table per year in inefficiencies” and suggests that, by using Atlas, these companies can boost efficiency by up to 90%. “Atlas completely reimagines what we know about building and optimizing digital experiences today,” Ciabarra said.

At present, the Atlas library consists of 90 guides, and includes customized use cases for verticals such as consumer banking, insurance, telecommunications, travel, and retail. Quantum Metric indicated that it will offer cross-industry guides to common digital use cases in the future.

Founded in 2015, Quantum Metric offers businesses a way to recognize customer needs, quantify the financial impact, and assess priorities based on both customer impact and meeting business objectives. The launch of Atlas comes just days after Quantum Metric announced a year of “record-breaking” growth, including a 98% customer retention rate and customer base growth of 41%. The company today captures experiences from 40% of the world’s Internet users and offers insights from more than four billion user sessions each month. Quantum Metric includes 20% of the Fortune 500 among its customers.

Quantum Metric on Agile Operations and Fintech Innovation

Quantum Metric on Agile Operations and Fintech Innovation

The partnership between Quantum Metric and U.S. Bank was major part of the conversation on digital transformation in financial services at FinovateSpring in May. Quantum Metric, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and founded in 2015, leverages its Continuous Product Design (CPD) platform to enable business, product, and technical teams to build better digital products faster. With partners ranging from Alaska Airlines to Western Union, Quantum Metric helps businesses access the customer insights that guide and inform development process.

We caught up with Michael Hanson, Regional Vice President of Banking and Financial Services at Quantum Metric, to find out what banks and fintechs can learn from Quantum Metric’s experience in collaborating with U.S. Bank. A textbook case of “two great tastes that taste great together,” Quantum Metric and U.S. Bank showed attendees what’s possible when companies with track records of innovation and a shared commitment to collaboration come together.

On the breadth of digital experience in financial services

When you think about digital experiences, it’s more than just a website. It can be a native application. It could be your tablet experience – depending on the demographic. It could be ATMs – ATMs are essentially a branch within a digital device – as well as kiosks in the traditional storefronts and branches that tend to be the bridge between the traditional banking relationship and a digital self-service relationship.

On the value of a company-wide embrace of agile operations

That means that marketing is now going to be agile. So instead of trying to craft some type of new product or new pitch and then releasing it out in the wild and seeing maybe in six months if it worked and delivered … No! We want to launch something, but we want to know immediately, in real-time, (and) understand if it’s working or not working, if there’s an opportunity to drive some type of improvement. It’s literally agile operations, which has been around for decades, but is now being deployed across the organization.

On the challenge of overcoming “technical debt”

There are long-term contracts and on-premises solutions that are baked into current workflows and current processes. And so as you’re learning new tricks, so to speak, (the question is): how do we quickly retool and empower our employees with the technologies that are going to support those new processes and support some of those new tricks that we’re teaching folks?

How Quantum Metric Helps Banks Make the Right Digital Moves

How Quantum Metric Helps Banks Make the Right Digital Moves

Multiple benefits arose from last year’s drive to digital, including the increase in user data and more control over the user experience. But making the leap to capturing that data and enhancing control over the user experience is easier said than done.

It is this gap that led Quantum Metric to launch its platform for continuous product design. The product uses realtime data from digital customer interactions to inform the decision-making process. As a result, firms can maximize opportunities, find errors, measure engagements, and more.

Quantum Metric offers tools for a range of industries, including retail banking. Some of the company’s retail banking clients include Western Union, Bank of Montreal, Silicon Valley Bank, and Aspiration.

In the video below, Aspiration Chief Product Officer Jody Mulkey explains how his bank uses Quantum Metric to understand sticking points in its application process and better interpret how clients are using the bank’s tools.

Founded in 2015, Quantum Metric became a unicorn company earlier this year after raising $200 million in a Series B funding round. Because the company aids in the transition to digital, Quantum Metric came close to doubling both its staff and revenue in 2020.

Though there is no official word on a public offering, Quantum Metric appointed a new Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Advisory Board Member late last month. The new hires indicate the company may be poising itself for an IPO in the foreseeable future.

Quantum Metric is one of the demoing companies at FinovateEurope 2021, which will take place digitally on March 23 through 25. Register to watch the demo and network with the company during the event. Or, check out a recording of the demo on Finovate.com later this year.
